gud Vanilla Flame Body Lotion

Photo from Gudhappens.com
I received a sample of the gud vanilla flame natural body lotion  from the Gud Facebook page. This is what the gud websites says "Let the exotic scent of vanilla and rice milk leave your skin smelling so wonderful, it inspires love letters. And poems. And sonnets. And the occasional misspelled text message • Leaves skin super soft to the touch.• Unique, exotic fragrance.• No parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals.• Never ever tested on animals. No way!"
This lotion does a nice job of softening the dry parts of the body. It smells nice-a mix of vanilla and slight hints of coconut. It feels very luxurious as you rub it in to the skin, it absorbs fast and it is not oily. For the first few minutes it feels slightly sticky but once it is fully absorbed it just feels as if your hands are being moisturized. I used this on my hands, elbows, and heels which are the three driest parts of my body. The lotion did a very good job at moisturizing and left my hands and feet feeling better than usual.
At $7 for 8 oz/235 ml I will purchase the full size when I see it in stores. I am looking forward to trying their body washes, butters, and mists.
Will you be trying the Gud natural body lotion any time soon?
      Have a great day! :)

Wet N Wild Black Creme

Picture borrowed from Wacky Laki
I just had to rave about this nail polish because Wet N Wild Black Creme is a staple black nail polish. I love this nail polish because it is opaque in one coat and it is terrific for layering and stamping! It is a very inexpensive nail polish and I buy mine at Rite Aid but you can probably find it anywhere Wet N Wild is sold.

Nail Haul!

First off let me say that I am sorry for not writing a blog post in a long time, I have been swamped with school work. Anyway, I went to Sally's Beauty Supply today to look at nail polish  and I found a few great deals! First off I picked up the Belle of the Ball set and  two other China Glaze colors in Trendsetter and Princess Grace. I also picked up some nail art jars for when i depot things.
Belle of the Ball Set

This set comes with two colors, Tinsel Town and Champagne Bubbles and a free tree ornament. I have been wanting these two colors ever since I saw the first swatches online. The set wasn't the first thing I noticed when I walked in, but as soon as I  noticed that it was with the clearance things I grabbed it up immediately! It was only $5.99 on clearance with an original price of $7.99, so not that much of a discount but I wanted the colors anyway.

The two colors on the right are the ones in this set. Tinsel Town is a gorgeous dark and light silver glitter, two coats is perfect and has a beautiful shine when paired with a clear topcoat. It has a lot of glitter in a dark silver liquid so it may not work as a glitter-coat over other nail polishes. Champagne Bubbles is a golden yellow with small silver glitters. It takes two coats to get it opaque. It is probably my favorite nail polish that I   bought.
Princess Grace and Trendsetter

I also saw Trendsetter in a clearance bin, it was part of the spring metro collection and on sale it was only $1.99. It is a golden yellow with hints of green, it is not the prettiest color out there but it is quite appealing. With one coat it is a nice golden color but with two does get greener and also more opaque. My mom is the one who picked up Princess Grace. It is a pretty pearly light white pink color. It reaches full opaqueness with three coats but is still nice at two coats.

Too Faced On The Prowl Set

(Picture from Sephora.com)

The Too Faced On The Prowl set comes with, a lip of luxury in cougar, a flatbuki brush, a mini primed & poreless, and a leopard love complexion kit. Too Faced is known for their beautiful packaging and this is no different! The Leopard Love Complexion Kit comes with a half dollar sized Bronzer in Peach Leopard, a Blush in Candy Leopard, and a brighten (highlighter) in pink leopard. On the back of the Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit is instructions for creating a perfect healthy glow.
The lipstick in Cougar is a bit dark but if it is applied lightly it can create a nice golden sheen. I have not tried the primed & poreless but I have heard great things about it. The flatbuki brush is a very nice brush, it is soft but it does not pick up a lot of product. The brush works best with darker matte colors. The bronzer, blush, and brightener are quite a bit shimmery so if you are not a big fan of shimmer this might not be for you! The bronzer comes off as a peachy brown. The blush is a shimmery bright pink, and the highlighter is shimmery peachy white.

This kit is on sale at Sephora for $26 from an original price of $75. This kit is definitely worth $26 but not $75 at all.  The brush is amazing, the lipstick is beautiful, and the complexion perfection kit is gorgeous!

Is this something you might purchase before it goes back to its original price?
  Have a great day! :)

I Have a Confession

I have a confession...I am a Gloss-aholic! After the recent holiday, I have realized that the one thing in my collection that is just way too much, is of course my lip products. Between chap-sticks, lip-gloss, and lip-stick my drawers are overflowing!

So my solution is Gloss Out 2012, there was a Gloss Out 2011 that some of the beauty bloggers were doing  for 2011, and I wanted to start one for 2012. Gloss Out 2012 is where I can only buy five lip-glosses or lip sticks and I can only buy a new chap-stick/lip balm for every three that I finish. It will run from January 1st, 2012 through January 1st, 2013.  It is a great way to shop my stash and I will post a blog post for every one of the five that I buy.

Will you be doing Gloss Out 2012?
  Have a great day! :)

Favorite Lip Products of 2011

(Picture from eos.com)

1. eos Lip Balm
This lip balm is super cute and super moisturizing! It comes in 6 different flavors with coordinating  colors, that glide on clear. It contains Shea butter and Vitamin E, and it is also gluten free, Paraben free, petrolatum free and Phthalate free.  The flavors are summer fruit in a light red colored packaging, lemon drop in yellow, strawberry sorbet in pink, honeysuckle honeydew in light green, medicated tangerine in orange, and sweet mint in mint blue. The flavors are all great smelling and great tasting. I love the round packaging because I find it hard to misplace them because they are quite bulky so I always end up finishing them! :)

2. Benefit Benetint and Posietint
Benetint is a rosy lip and cheek stain. It stains your lips a dark red/pink rose color that stays on through meals and kisses. It is $29 dollars for 0.4 oz, but it lasts a very long time. Posietint is Benetint's poppy colored sister.  I do think that Benetint looks better on the lips because it is darker that Posietint. They both last very long on lips and look best with a clear colored gloss on top.
(Color: Lollipop)

3. Revlon Lip Butters
These Lip Butters have sent the blogging community in a frenzy, everyone has at least one of these and almost every person has done a review on these! They come in a variety of colors and they are all very creamy and moisturizing. They do not feel heavy on the lips at all, some are cream colors while others are sort of glossy and have a bit of sparkle to them. They come in a wide range of colors from peach nudes to bright reds. I also have to mention that the packaging is absolutely adorable! I like to take the color lollipop and put a darker pink sparkle gloss, like MAC's holiday gloss Rags to Riches. :)

What are some of your favorite lip products of 2011?
Have a great day! :)

Stila Lip Glaze Set

(Picture from Sephora.com)
I received the Stila Lip Glaze Set for Christmas, and I have to say that it is an amazing set of 8 mini Stila lip glazes. While one of these contains only  0.05 oz, a full size lip glaze contains 0.08 oz It is only $25, which is an amazing deal considering one full size lip glaze costs $22.
It comes with 8 lip glazes in the shades, Kitten, Kaleidoscope, Apricot, Grapefruit, Fantasy, Starfruit, Dreamy, and Believe. They are mostly shimmery, but none with too large of sparkles to be too terribly noticeable. Four of these shade are bestselling shades, while the other four are limited edition shades.

Let me talk about the packaging first, before I get into the actual gloss. I love the packaging of these lip glazes, they are convenient to take with you because you can throw them into your purse without the cap coming off  or product coming out and making a big mess. They also hold up pretty well in drawers without too much worry. The only complaint that I have is that when you use it for the first time it does take a while to get any initial product to come out and by the time it does come out I always end up over twisting it, but that might just be me! :)

Now on to the actual gloss, I love the color selection in this set with a nice range of nudes to darker cranberry colors. It applies very nicely and I usually take a small lip brush to get it into the corners of my mouth so that I do not make too much of a mess with the brush attached to the gloss because it is a bit large. The gloss has a very long lasting time. I put it on in the morning, I ate breakfast and went on with my day and it didn't wear off my lips until about two o'clock, two thirty.

Please tell me what you think about the Stila Lip Glaze Set in the comments.
Link to where you may purchase this set:Stila Lip Glaze Set @ Sephora.com
I definitely  think this is a lip-gloss set that is worth your money!!! :)
